Consciousness developing...

Last Thursday I started the introductory course to Evolutionary Enlightenment with a new group of  participants in Utrecht, I don't know what happened over the last 7 weeks since I started the first course, but this group, 16 people, seemed even more developed than the previous one; the evening was a thrilling exchange of ideas, experience and passion for the deepest core that makes us, human beings, who we are.

Are people like Rupert Sheldrake right when they say that things change in a field rather than in the consciousness of individuals? Could a group of 26 people who are investigating life's deepest questions at the edge of their understanding and potential create a pathway in consciousness for the people that come after them? Could groups of people doing this all over the world (25 this autumn) influence and support each other unknowingly? If consciousness is One, which is what all sages throughout the ages always have said, that sure would make sense wouldn't it?

But something else happened that affected this evening; some days ago we, Andrew Cohen's students, had a call with him. In this call he stated that the victory he declared November 20, 2005 was in spite of us, his students, and that now, one year later, that same ongoing victory is because of us. In his weblog he refers to us as his teacher/students. I felt deeply affected by this phone call, like a new, unknown, ecstatic burden had been put on my shoulders. It made me more conscious than ever before that I am, in my own small but not insignificant way, responsible for the development of consciousness itself and the shift in our Dutch culture that I passionately want to help creating.

What is even more interesting is that this seems to be catching on; quite a number of the people that finished the course here in Amsterdam are apparently feeling the same way, EnlightenNext Amsterdam is becoming a place where (r)evolutionaries gather together to investigate life, make plans and enjoy each other's company.

In our window at Oudeschans 46a in Amsterdam there is a huge banner announcing the lift off of the ‘Universe Project' in 15 days, it says: "The ego will no longer consume the power of love". On Sunday December 10^th Andrew Cohen will do a teaching which will be broadcasted worldwide over the web, there he will announce this new future that we are starting to experience and express and speak about it in public.
